This Year's Model Updates:

The power rear hatch is now standard on all models, as is wood and leather trim for the shift knob and steering wheel. The power passenger seat is upgraded from four-way to eight-way while the optional navigation system gets Bluetooth capability and voice actuated control. Last year's standard six-disc CD changer moves to the options list, making way for a standard single-CD setup.

Pros:
  • Well-appointed interior, rides more like a sedan than an SUV, loaded with high-tech features, solid reputation for reliability, excellent dealer service.
Cons:
  • Less powerful than some of its competitors, soft ride makes for merely adequate handling in corners, no third-row seat option.

it is the most comfortable car i have ever had. i dont like the darkened rearview mirror that must be manually turned off. I love the navigation systemwhich is basixcally an expensive oy, but it has come in handy. i only have 5000 miles so i dont know about reliability, etc, but it sure is a great car. cant wait for the hybrid to come out.

Last 10 years driving lexus, never a complaint, my first es-300 than rx300 now rx 330. If lexus would make a 6 seater it would be the best, i always loved that car.

Reliability, safety, comfort and resale value all played an important part in my decision. The vehicle lives up to its reputation for quality and the 330 design is awesome ...

  • Love this SUV - 2005 Lexus RX 330

I truly love driving this SUV- and I am convinced after test driving many other SUVs in the same class that this is the best purchase for the price. The comfort in this car is matched by no other SUV I have ever been in, and it truly rides like a sedan and not an SUV. It has a very smooth ride, and has all of the luxury features/options that Lexus has built its reputation on. I am also pleased by the reliability of this vehicle. I would like a little more cargo space, and Im not a huge fan of the metallic trim on the interior surrounding the console (would prefer wood trim), but other than that, this car has been perfect for our family of 3.

Most luxurious, reliable SUV for the price.

We traded in our LX450 which we loved, but we owned it over 8 years. We wanted something with four wheel drive but more efficient on fuel and parking. Tried the competitors out. We came back to Lexus. They just seem to keep doing things right.

Fantastic automobile. Looks great and drives great! Is there any other reason to buy a car? They all get you from point A to point B, but some do it in style! With a Toyota engine under the hood, reliability is surely there as well.

  • great vehicle - 2005 Lexus RX 330

This is the third RX that we have owned and the best so far. These vehicles are trouble free and feel like luxury cars. Lexus has combined great style and handling in a comfortable cabin with plenty of room. Cant imagine them improving this one but they probably will.

  • Best Car Ever - 2005 Lexus RX 330

This is the best car we ever had. You sit up high and get the SUV feel, but still get pretty much the 18/24 mpg advertised. It may be slightly under- powered for some, but thats the price of decent mileage. It has been completely reliable. The controls are ergonomic - placed logically just where they ought to be. One exception: the GPS navigation system is complex and somewhat counter-intuitive. Expect a learning curve of some weeks. The low-profile tires are more expensive than the regular kind, but they look great. I replaced them at Walmart in 2009 with top-quality for about $1,000. Groceries tend to slide in the cargo area - the "cargo net" sold as a $60 option is useless.

This has been an excellent driving experience.
